SEO Checklist for Ecommerce brands: April Edition

SEO Checklist for Ecommerce Brands: April 2025

Welcome to my monthly SEO checklist for Ecommerce Brands.

If you carried out the tips in my March checklist, your site should now be starting look a little more prepped for Summer.

Now that we're welcoming April, it's time to turn the focus to CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! ❤️

With customers at the heart of your website journey, here are 3 tips to help make sure you're giving them the best experience when they visit your site.

Refresh your category pages
Update your main shopping categories with fresh seasonal descriptions to give search engines new content to index, and inspire customers to shop.

Think summer trends like “Festival Fashion”, “Summer Wedding” and “Holiday Essentials” vibe.

Check your Internal Links
Make sure your complementary products / “customers also bought” links are all in place and up to date. This creates clear pathways for both customers AND search engines to discover your summer products.

Check your site on mobile
Pretend you’re a customer and try to buy a product on you website using your phone - Was it easy? If the answer is "No", don't panic! There's time to get it sorted before the summer shopping flurry arrives!

I know it can be tricky keeping track of all of the content on your site.

My tip
: Don't assume that content you added to your site 3 months ago is still relevant today. Schedule regular slots in your diary to shop your site like a customer to make sure your site content is aligned with the messaging you're using in your other marketing channels.

Hope you find this useful!

As ever, if you have any questions about any of my tips, or feel like you need some advice just drop me an email.✌️✨
